Great alternative to Xbox component cables

I was a little cautious when looking to buy this. Many reviews report that the cable causes glitches in the video and audio, namely lines in the picture and a low hum in the sound. Since the alternative to these aftermarket cables is OEM or MadCatz cables for $50+, I took a chance. The first thing that struck me when I received them was that they were definitely cheaply made. The cables seem a bit flimsy(?) and of poor quality. When connecting to the TV, the grip is loose where the other cables are tight. All of this indicates that my expectations were low. However, looking at the picture, I was just amazed! The original Xbox never looked so good! After playing Outrun 2 with standard composite cables for a few weeks, I saw how it performed at 480p with these component cables. Colors are much brighter and clearer, and cars are much more visible from afar. And that's just the games that run at 480p. A few select games run at 1080i and look incredible for the time these games came out. I didn't notice any visual glitches at all! However, audio glitches are present. A faint hum can be heard from the speakers. The hum is a little annoying, but it's almost always drowned out by the note being played. This is only noticeable when there is absolute silence in the game and it is inaudible due to the shooting from your game, roaring engine, music, etc. The hum is the only downside I've encountered when using these cables. If you can ignore this annoyance, save yourself $45 and get it. If I run into other issues over time, I'll update this review to reflect those issues.
