I bought this for my 87 year old mother. This is one of my best purchases from Revain. I used it under my mother's closet. Her Kerig was there. This is the darkest area for them. It came with a padded stick on an oval shaped piece of magnetic metal. The metal is the same size as the base of the lamp. This light detects movement. At first I had to wave my hand under him, but over time (the day) he started noticing movement just by walking towards the counter. One charge was enough for a week. The light goes out after about 30 seconds. If you don't have a plug handy, you can just grab a flashlight and charge it up. It seems to charge pretty quickly. I like it so much I hope to see it soon.
