I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

So, after reading the reviews about this boxed model, I had some doubts, they say, how is it, have I never noticed heating up to 80 degrees? So let's get started. This model is definitely not the best cooling solution, but it is suitable for general tasks and games. So what do we have? Yes, the cooling does not work very well and the Ryzen 5 3600 really heats up to 84 degrees! But it heats up to such a temperature only under conditions of a stress test and extreme overclocking. 10 minutes of the Heavy Load stress test with overclocking through MSI's proprietary utility really managed to raise the temperature as much as 84 degrees, but this is provided that the processor is under overclocking, not throttling and has an increased voltage (Picture 1) But, not many (quite) games and professional applications, other than 3D rendering and 4K-8K video editing, are able to load your stone so much, but those who do 3D modeling on a regular basis use a completely different cooling. In idle time, the temperature of the stone very quickly dropped to a healthy 36 degrees even for a person (image 2). Next, I decided to stress test without overclocking. take stock frequencies and voltage and run Heavy Load for another ten minutes. And following image 3, we see that despite the maximum load of 100% on the processor, its temperature does not exceed 56 degrees, with a processor cooler speed of 65%. Conclusion? If you are not engaged in extreme overclocking of the processor, do not change the voltage, and do not particularly indulge in stress tests, benchmarks, or 3D modeling, editing 8K video, then even a boxed cooler, even the youngest model, is more than enough for you.

Pros
  • Quiet, keeps me cool.
Cons
  • 3-pin, that is, there is no PWM support.
