This product has a great concept

I have been installing professional video surveillance systems for many years and I have been a network engineer for about 12 years. This product has a great concept and Netatmo recognizes people, cars and animals quite well. Navigation in the app is easy for customers. However, I am having some BIG issues with the product line after installing a few for customers. Performance is not what I expected from a $300 camera. This works via a peer-to-peer connection via Netatmo; This connection seems to be quite slow, sometimes resulting in a 30-60 second delay between the event and it appearing in the live stream on the phone/tablet. The standard IP camera systems that I usually install have no more than 10 seconds of latency, even with DSL. A 100x10 cable connection will experience a 30-60 delay. The standard MicroSD card does not work. The U1 card classification lends itself to easy use of these cameras. The card failure rate is absolutely unacceptable. I have already replaced 5 of the 14 cameras installed. It's 35% bounce and before rain. I installed a Sandisk U3 V30 32GB MicroSD card at a customer (link below). It seemed to help at first, but performance soon dropped again. For one customer, we stayed in touch with technical support to pinpoint an issue with remote browsing performance. We get terrible performance on cameras with an excellent WiFi signal within 30 feet of the access point. The tech support is far from competent, they keep repeating things after explaining the network setup and cannot offer any further help beyond what a regular technician can do. If you have a mesh system like Ubiquiti Unifi or Cisco Meraki, it doesn't seem to help much. Their tech support doesn't understand what a multipoint Wi-Fi system is either. It seems to me that one thing is missing in the configuration - the ability to set a static IP address for each camera. If you're having trouble with the initial setup of each camera, you have the option, but NOT in the app. I have a big problem with this as I always set a static IP address for devices like cameras, printers, TVs, etc. I would appreciate the ability to do this directly for each camera instead of having to map the MAC address to the router's DHCP server. .Performance is a clear issue for my clients; Netatmo needs to redesign the data stream so live views don't lag as much. You should also upgrade the standard microSD cards. SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDHC Plus Memory Card Up to 100MB/s SD Class 10 U3 V30 A1-32GB SDSQXCG-032G
