I needed something permanent for my island. I've tried several options and they always fall off or don't fit tightly due to the plastic fasteners. It's all metal, a good clean aluminum body, right down to the mounts. It provides screws for secure attachment to a bench or cabinet, but I wanted it to be screwed to wood. So I used 4 1" wood screws and screwed them in snugly. The forks are well spaced, I usually have to skip every second because I have a lot of wide forks. With that I still had to skip a connector, but barely, and the rest met my needs.The switch is illuminated and large so it is easy to turn on and off.It was the perfect solution for my needs.I intend to get another one for my table.
