streamed video from iMac to SmartTV. (with some iMac settings changes)

My SmartTV doesn't have the Hulu app and I'm tired of watching Hulu on my iMac (Late 2015 model). After some reading, I found that I need to connect my iMac and my TV with an HDMI cable. However, the iMac did not have an HDMI port on the back. It only had USB ports and two Thunderbolt 2 ports. So I bought this device to connect an HDMI cable to my computer via the Thunderbolt 2 port. The device worked fine after I made a few adjustments. First, I pressed the "Login" button on the remote control on my SmartTV. The input was already set to HDMI-2; This is the port (on the side of the TV) that the Comcast/Xfinity box is connected to. So the HDMI port on the back of my TV turned out to be HDMI-1. I selected HDMI-1 and saw my computer wallpaper but my HULU Safari window was missing from my TV screen even though it was showing on my screen. iMAC display. To fix this I had to go to Apple Settings/Displays. Go to the "Location" tab and check the "Mirror Displays" box. This means that the TV screen is a corresponding copy of the iMac screen. After closing Apple's settings window, I launched Hulu and expanded the video to full screen. My TV showed an identical picture. iMac so I need to set this up. Back in the Apple preferences pane, I have access to "Sound". cable is connected, there is a new option in the device list: Name: #320i-B2; Type: HDMI "Internal Speakers" was still checked by default, so I clicked the new HDMI option to select it and everything worked fine after that (Of course, the color wasn't quite as nice on my TV as it was on the iMac (I'm still working on fixing this issue.) Fortunately, when I saw Hula again the next day, my iMac remembered the settings I described above so I didn't have to repeat all the steps, I just had to input the Change TV from HDMI-2 to HDMI-1.
