middle of the street lens.

To be honest, I'm not entirely convinced of this lens. But that doesn't disappoint either. A good lens for the price and a great entry-level lens. I bought this lens when I switched to a DSLR with my 10D. Take decent pictures. Not stunningly sharp, but usable for a range of tasks. Although I'm not sure about action shots yet. The biggest challenge I had with him was a volleyball game my wife was coaching. I took 100 shots with this lens and got about 15 that I'm happy with. I haven't really used it since, based on that. I learned more things to help my photography in this situation and I realized that I was probably using the wrong focus drive for this situation. This probably explains the vast majority of the shots I didn't like. Knowing this now, for some reason I associate this lens with my disappointment with these shots. I've since switched to an older 70-210 two-stroke zoom lens, which I like a lot better. I can sell this lens, but before that I will try again. Also, the build quality is good for the price and it's fairly light for the zoom you get with it. It's not a very fast lens in terms of aperture, but it seems to perform reasonably well. I don't think you can get a better zoom lens for the price, so I can't hit it too hard! In general, it would be wise to start and work with such a zoom. This is a great starter block lens!
