I received the item a day earlier than expected. The jack fitted the rear window of my 1997 Ford Explorer perfectly. To remove the old lift I had to pull out the locking pin. Quite simply with a small screwdriver. Make sure you're ready to catch it. It is very small and can easily be lost. Then pull out the pin. Slide the latch on the bottom and remove the lift post from the ball. To attach a new one, snap the bottom piece into place. Raise the rear window to align the lifter with the opening. Reinsert the pen and secure it with the holder. 5 minutes and I'm done with both sides, even holding the window by myself.
