Review on ๐Ÿ” Systor Multi Media Flash Backup Center with DVD Duplicator - Effortlessly Back up Various Flash Memory Drives (USB/SD/CF/MS/MMC) to DVD (PMBC-3) by Masud Taylor

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Doesn't read many USB sources, doesn't check USB source for writing to Blu-ray

I ordered one of these from the Systor online shop: two LG M-Disc Bluray/DVD/CD burners and a USB port. I called the seller and spoke to customer service before ordering. The device was assumed to accept mainstream USB devices formatted with MS Windows (e.g. Fat16, Fat32, NTFS etc. and presumably most Linux formats such as EXT2, 3 or 4). It was also introduced that after the Blu-ray is burned, the device is compared to the original USB source. This is the reality: the device will not accept USB devices from almost all major manufacturers, including Sony's XQD/SD CF/SD/ card readers. Delkin card readers, with any card in MS Windows format and most USB sticks ("flash drives"). It accepted a major brand USB drive and burned a Bluray disc (single layer by Verbatim, the brand recommended to me by a phone support agent) BUT it does *NOT* do a post-write comparison (verification) between the USB through source and the burned Bluray disc. To be on the safe side, make sure you get full prepaid free return shipping through Revain and a full refund if the device doesn't do what you need. I don't need duplicate optical discs, I need a verified USB optical drive.

Pros
  • DISC DUPLICATION: Rip Audio CDs, CD-Videos, DVD-Videos and virtually any CD or DVD data disc from disc to disc in minutes
Cons
  • Not everything is as written
