Review on Cressi Short Full Foot Pocket Fins - Lightweight Swimming and Training Fins for Pool and Sea by Matthew Fadoul

Concerned about the width

After reading someone else's review I ordered it because of the 'bigger than usual' messages. I'm a size 11 1/2 EEE and needed something for my wide foot. I don't know why everyone said they were larger than usual - they were a bit narrow in width when I first tried them on. However, when I got them by the pool, they were cozy but not intrusive. I had no problems with the comfort. As for the length - I didn't see my toe sticking out of the top of the slit so I'm guessing there is room for longer legs. I agree with someone's post that the bottom was slippery, my feet would slide off the side of the pool if I hit it at an angle so would have liked to see softer rubber on the bottom. As for using it in my workouts, I was surprised at how much extra ump it added. I've been swimming intermittently for about 20 years. Now at 60, I have joint problems and need to add something to my training. I have never used lap fins and have never been a kicker. I immediately noticed how much it quickened my heart rate and I had to stop to catch my breath where I wasn't before. It also gets me using my legs more, which I was hoping for. I'm still not used to flipping them as they cause resistance to the act, but I'm not a pinball player. I just turn around when I reach the wall.
