Review on Filter under the sink Geyser Standard for hard water white by Adam Gontarz ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Expected more from the purchase, but not the worst option.

So, on the second day of use, it started leaking. Small drops, but after an hour a small puddle. You can, of course, wipe it with a rag - but this is hemorrhoids, and chipboard can easily swell from constant moisture. I felt the filter and realized that the connection of the last flask with the filter base was leaking. I tried to twist it tighter, I tried to wrap the seal rings with fum tape, I tried to swap the filter rings. Nothing helped. I could hand it over under warranty, but you need to go to the other end of the city and personally take it in for diagnostics, and then wait for a decision. I cut off this option and left it as a last resort, since both the flask and the base looked completely intact. As a result, in desperation, I studied everything on this topic on the Internet and found only one review similar to mine with a solution. There was advice to change the sealing rings to plumper ones and not to tighten the flasks too tightly, that is, just to the extent that the key cannot be turned by hand any further - no need to press it with all the weight of the body until it stops. In general, I bought in the plumbing department 10 cm rubber rings for 100 (!), Which were called “for filters”, inserted the flasks in the same places (two rings at the top), twisted tightly, but not with all my strength. Re-installed and voila - it stopped leaking! Now I just enjoy the water. And one more useful tip found in the vastness of the reviews from the Geyser website - if your water is almost white, opaque - these are most likely micro-bubbles. To avoid them, simply reduce the water supply to the faucet using the lever on the tee. I did this - I completely blocked it and slowly opened it until a good stream came out, but at the same time not strong and without bubbles - transparent. Now everything is great! BUT the rating is still 3, due to the above leaking problem, and so that people with the same problem, when sorting reviews from bad to good, see these tips. Thank you for your attention!

Pros
  • I didn’t measure any indicators, but the water turns out to be definitely tastier than just from the tap. I didn’t notice much scale in the kettle, but not much time passed for conclusions either. Complete with filters there is a mixing tap, a wrench for screwing the flasks and a tee into a cold riser. Basically easy to install.
Cons
  • IMPORTANT: One of the flasks is LEAKING WATER - namely, the finishing flask at the outlet of the water into the small mixer. I thought I was the only one with this problem, but it turns out it's common. I found the solution only in some wilds of revocable topics based on the Geyser site itself. I will describe in the comments.

Some pros: Quick easy installation. Cons below: Scale is still present in the kettle.
