I would like to start by saying this was purchased for a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport. At first glance, this is a quality cable. Upon closer inspection, you will notice that the cable is significantly thinner than the original. It has a coating, which is nice, but it's still thinner than a factory cable with that extra coating. The socket for the secondary unit is also significantly smaller than the originals, allowing the socket to slide through the hole in the bottom plate. Cable replacement is a bit more complicated than it looks, especially with such a simple device. Part. In my opinion the time would have been better spent installing the original cable for a little more money.
