Review on ⛳ Nikon COOLSHOT PROII STABILIZED: Enhancing Precision in Golf Shots by Dave Russell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Image stabilization is a game changer!

Some of my golfing friends have rangefinders from Blue Tees and Bushnell. These are all amazing rangefinders with their own pros and cons. So when it came time to buy my own I wanted to see what other options were available. The Nikon is a bit pricey (not that much compared to the best Bushnell models), but the image stabilization is a game changer. At 150 yards it's difficult to get a stable pin mark. Pressing and (insert marketing term here for aiming at a target) helps build confidence that you shot right. But nothing beats looking at a pin through a steady frame and shooting it straight up. Combine that with the nice green ring and nice chirp you hear when you turn it on and I now have 100% confidence that I measured the exact number. The display is very clear and bright. The diopter adjustment is great, easy to change but holds its position so it doesn't fall out. It's also a small form factor compared to BlueTees or the more expensive Bushnell and fits comfortably in your hand. The downsides are few and far between, and mostly start and end with the lack of a built-in magnet and the somewhat low aesthetic value of the (but otherwise well-made) case that comes with it. However, because it's waterproof, I've never bothered setting it up on the fairway while I'm firing my next shot. There are 4 modes which is confusing at first but makes sense after a few rounds which is the only reason I gave this rangefinder 4 stars for ease of use. Tldr: This is a fantastic high quality range finder. on par with any Bushnell product I've seen. The image stabilization plus the green ring and chirp make it stand out and make it the best rangefinder out there in my opinion.
