Review on Bilstein 33 236957 Shock Absorber by Eddie Gordon

Jeep WJ Approved with 2 " lift, great handling, even better looks

I hope future Jeep WJ/Grand Cherokee owners will not be confused. Bilstein recommends this damper with part number ( 33-236957) for 2" jack. See link for help. Part number *649* is also available but in smaller quantities and more expensive. Sources indicate that PN 33-151649 has replaced PN 33-236957, meaning it's the same product, just with a new part number. I have found that the lengths listed for these two part numbers are the same and compatible with a 2" lifter. * Folded Length (IN): 15.12 * Extended Length (IN): 24.35 If you visit the Jeep forums regularly, you will see many members saying these shocks are the best money ever spent (except for the upgrade of course). Pole). After installing my 2" BB lifter I used a Rancho 5000 series with Kevins rear hubs, no rattle but the ride was loud and hard on the road. I returned them and the OEM shocks (141k) reinstalled for a few weeks before ordering them. The shafts were somehow in incredibly good shape with a smooth ride and no rattles, despite easily overcoming speed bumps. These shocks are a definite improvement over the stock shocks and I believe this is the only way to get the smoothness and quality of the OEM shocks.. I feel the jeep is a little more level now.The parts came quickly and are easy to install, look great and don't require extended bushings on the back .They are suitable for a specific car.I would and would recommend this brand over and over again.Lower damper to then stop the lower bolt and tighten everything to 80 top / 85 bottom **ft lbs** - I had to adjust the black rubber bushing so it doesn't look compressed at ground clearance. Hope that helps.
