Review on Synergy Men's SynSkin Skinsuit: Triathlon Swimskin, Ironman USAT & FINA Approved by Will Schimmel

I have competed in 15 triathlons, ranging from sprints to full ironmen. I bought this swimsuit because I will have a full set in a few weeks and I am afraid it will be an illegal wetsuit. I'm a bit slower without a wetsuit and was hoping for an advantage. I'm pretty average at swimming speed. In terms of weight, I'm approaching size XL/XXL. What about swimsuit sizes? I'm usually medium below and tall on top. Why are swimsuits one or two sizes different? In any case, the XXL size could not be bought and I decided that the XL size would give me a closer fit. After swimming 1.75 miles I had a lot of stitches in my arms cutting into my front shoulders and lats so I didn't want to wear it again. As far as my swim time goes, I've never swum just with Jammers. The water pooled and fell, but that didn't mean more speed for me. Maybe I'm not fast enough to see any benefit, or maybe the size wasn't quite right. After all, I'll probably never use this swimsuit again. Waste of $130 for me.
