Great hook! The ends of these S hooks are made of heavy, shiny silver wire and have different diameters. One end is perfect for our standard 1 3/8 inch wooden clothes rail and the other, smaller end is perfect for our wire clothes and towel rails. There is a small ball at the ends of the S-shaped hooks. The tricky ball prevents the hook from accidentally slipping off the bar or stand. You have to grab it and lift the hook in a targeted manner to release it from the bar or stand. I use them to hang my wranglers, padded suitcases, nasty boots, straps, etc. and the price is also much better than the "S" hooks I bought at the hardware store (e.g. two of their hooks cost same as 10 of those much better hooks). will eventually find many other uses for them.
