This is not one of those natural products that "seems" to work. No, it's made with hardcore chemicals, contains lye and strong smelling products. And I love it, it's amazing. But you must be VERY CAREFUL when using it! If possible, seek help! small areas - DO NOT exceed the time limit - DO NOT get near the scalp - MUST set a timer - MUST use gloves and a comb/brush, it doesn't matter - DO NOT get near the scalp, I can't stress this enough , I still have scabs that are recovering under my new luscious hair. It was my fault with OTHER "natural" products, I would apply and rub in like shampoo. BIG MISTAKE. the head burned, was very tender for about 2 days, then another 5-6 days to allow a few scabs to heal. The stronger version is perfect for thick, coarse, curly hair, I wouldn't use it if you have fine, semi-wavy hair. everything works, but FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS
