Unique product with unique results

Translucent, mostly easy to remove, miscible with water. They are more like watercolor pencils that feel like graphite than colored graphite pencils that can be used with water. They don't mix DRY at all. Not a single stroke with the stir stick, no matter how many coats you apply. I think they should use a hard pigmented wax (or maybe gum arabic?) and some graphite, otherwise all the colors will turn gray and muddy. However, they mix quite well with water, and the pigments come to life with a touch of water. Basically, it's a very different medium than graphite pencils and watercolor pencils, which is why it has a learning curve. Some colors such as B. cocoa, appear more waxy than others. The colors are very muted and organic, which I like, but can be disappointing for some. There's also a limited color palette, with yellow sorely absent. I'm also not a fan of the softwood they used for the trunks. Sharpening them can be an experience in itself and requires a gentle hand. Cons aside, I like how they interact with water, the organicity, and the color scheme that goes well with landscapes, plants, and architecture. If only it were yellow.
