Review on Enhance Aquarium CO2 Levels with AQUATEK 3-in-1 Diffuser & Bubble Counter (Large) by Sarah Jones

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like it! for fish and aquatic animals

I really wanted to give 5 stars. But here's why I didn't. The ceramic disk needs to be cleaned often. Probably once every two weeks it fills up with garbage and algae. Although the rest of my aquarium is largely free of algae, these are somehow deposited on the ceramic pane. It's annoying, but not that important. 2. The airliner holder is useless when using the CO2 hose. A regular air hose will probably suffice, but when using silicone CO2 hoses it will be too big for the slot. Again, not so much. I fetch a few ells to whistle under.3. Forms a large bubble from time to time. Not really enough to make a fuss about. That's minimal. Otherwise I have no complaints. It creates really tiny bubbles, so small that they rise very slowly. The built in bubble counter and check valve are definitely a plus. Since it's plastic I'm not sure how long it will last. Given the price I'll just order another if this one goes bad. I understand how some people think this is an eyesore. Mine is hidden behind some plants as if it's under the filter inlet. About half of the bubbles are sucked into the filter inlet, the other half is expelled through the tank by my powerhead. My plants are shiny like crazy and my drip is bright green. So that helps. Tips: - Soak the ceramic disc in dechlorinated water for about 12 hours. If you put it in the tank straight from the box, you'll get nothing but big bubbles. - Do not overtighten the cap. It's made of plastic. It won't be hard to break it.
