The cold plate was good when it worked. I bought this to try and get through the shock days at the factory and it failed miserably. Even at high altitude, I hardly feel the cold through the ventilation openings in the mask that I have to wear throughout the work. The cooling plate helped, but stopped working after a while. I actually got hotter because the unit got hot when I left it on with the cold plate on high power for hours. The device lasted about 6 hours at different fan speeds with the cooling plate constantly switched on. When the cold plate worked, it was almost worth it. The biggest regret I have is not finding the packaging after trying it for a week to return the product. It might have been nice if he had used it to cool himself in the stands if the cooling plate had stayed active the whole time.
