Review on Horizontal Thermometer Temperature Fermenting Aquariums by Stacey Wallace

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I use it and am a loyal customer

I deducted a star for accuracy and readability because I use it for aquariums. I swear I've looked at them before and done the same thing, but according to those in power I haven't. So it's a big deal that you use them in aquariums instead of brewing and whatever else they can do. (I haven't forgotten, I just never remembered it lol). Technically; Using it in aquariums is not that difficult. The problem arises when your fish "cares" about the water temperature, especially when they need an accuracy of 1-2 degrees (in a pinch). The only negative I have yet to find about these thermometers is that they have a 4 degree dispersion for each new number measured. [71 - 75 - 79 - 82 (not 4) - 86 - 90 °F] Note that this only makes a °C deviation of only 2 degrees. Also, they suffer from the same problem as any other similar thermometer. . Any backlight and any temperature will make it difficult to read. EASY to fix of course. Turn on the lights or grab a flashlight or smartphone, whatever you choose as long as you make the light brighter in front than in back. So, as the name suggests, I use them. I'm a regular customer and will continue to be as long as the price is fair and the thermometer is accurate. Of course you'd expect to sacrifice minimal accuracy if you decide to use this type of thermometer instead of a mercury model, but I wouldn't want to live on the difference. Good quality items and in my opinion they offer us great customer service which is rare these days.
