I needed a gate my husband wouldn't trip over. That means no pressure gates. You top up the account. We don't have a ladder, but we needed something that can be attached to the wall. My son installed it. The one in the door was the easiest, but the one in the hall was a problem. My son is sure that he did something wrong during installation. It still works well, but not as smoothly as the one in the doorway. When installing this gate, take your time to ensure everything is aligned. Due to its angled installation, it's a little forgiving stretching it down the hallway, but make sure the top and bottom brackets line up according to the template. Also, my son had some issues with the instructions. A quick look at the product here at Revain and he was able to figure out what was missing from the instructions. Overall we are happy with the gate and getting more for other doors and corridors. The cat jumps easily and the baby likes to see through. There is no gate at the entrance for my husband to trip over. And when the one in the corridor is open, it rests against the wall and opens full-width access to the corridor. We stopped at a one-way street where the gate opened in both directions. I recommend this gate for managing toddlers.
