First you need to take care of the space required for the cooler. I ran thermal infrared on it, and after 15 minutes it stopped, the engine was only running at 150 degrees at base, and the radiator fins were running around 80 (although the outside temp was 45), so nothing should melt, but be careful . FYI: They're nowhere near the temperature of halogen bulbs. Second, the higher color temperature gives MUCH MORE "perceived" light and the light output is probably 30% higher than standard halogen bulbs. They are exactly the same (or slightly better) than the HID in my Kia Optima. They also don't make me turn on my headlights. Third, the more "stocky" the shape of the case, the more incredibly these things work. They are clearly designed for this. I tried them in a more modular fixture (but with a rectangular body) and they worked great. I put them in an older, squarer case and they were amazing! Accurate lighting pattern of the original, and instead of the road "disappearing" for a moment when you pass someone with HID, they showed the way perfectly! Fourth, I've just ordered a SECOND pair and will probably buy a few more sets to replace a few of my old cars. Fifth, the power consumption is noticeably LESS than that of halogens! I plan on keeping track of the watch on them as I use them for about 1 hour in a workday - hope they last! UPDATE: encountered an error. the second put modules on the headlights that indexed the bulbs under 45 degrees And vice versa - stupid GM! This is NOT BEAMTECH's fault; but causes an unusual light pattern, a low LINE and a high LINE (literally lines) with a large unlit gap between them. The High Line is so high that my true high beam is between the lines and actually fills the gap! Unfortunately, this means that HALF of the BEAMTECH light used (low beam) is pointing at the MOON. The 9006 is NOT adjustable, but it looks like I can remove the screw, rotate the LED body and "attach" it myself. PS + 15 hours and everything is fine. UPDATE: 50+ hours and still good but I've noticed a drop in intensity. They were so intense at first, which is probably not a bad thing. With that they are still much better than SilverStars and almost on par with HID.
