Review on 🎨 Sargent Art - Set of 48 Square Chalk Pastels in Tray, Non-Toxic, 3/4 X 2-1/2 in, Assorted Colors by Denise Davis

For the price I don't think this pastel set is good value for money. Of course I happened to see a very similar set at a local store but much cheaper right after I bought this one. But most importantly, the colors could be a lot better for this price. Only 7 sticks or 15% of the set are dedicated to grey-black colors. Black is black. I just don't need so many blacks and grays. And the blue/indigo/purple gamut is not enough. You can see in my picture there is not much difference between light blue and cobalt blue. One of the sticks which I believe to be an eggplant color is next to a brown stick and there is almost no difference between them. My other issue with this set is that some of the pens have a slick, slightly glossy finish that makes it difficult for the pigment to move. In any case, I'm still using the old pastel set, which I wanted to replace with something more complete. This product really isn't working for me like I was hoping it would.
