While I like the strong but flexible material of the collar itself, I find the use of an elastic emergency release strap in it too unreliable, thus making the collar good for cats, but only for as long as it lasts. Unlike a collar with an emergency release, which can be buckled back if it ever comes off (at least if you can figure out where/on what your cat lost it), the elastic on this collar broke when my cat used it for the first time . across his face and tried to pull it off. The collar was too loose at the notch so he was able to take it off and break it in the process, although as you can imagine how easily the collar snaps, he wouldn't let my cat scratch himself over time if he caught that area of the collar with its claws. I was able to salvage the collar with a thicker headband which I cut and tied through the loops on the collar and my cat seems fine. You may need to repair the collar before actually buying a new one, but it looks good and wears well enough on your cat that you might want to look into it.
