I used to have the monkey version and liked it. We called him the cleaner monkey and everyone loved him. Then one day he died - his blade fell out and he was no more. We replaced it with this bird. We envisioned him becoming our cleaner bird, and we would love him just as we loved the cleaner monkey. nope Peeler Bird doesn't meet the requirements at all. He refuses to clean. We must fight it at every turn. Its beak blade isn't sharp enough and our hands hurt when we try to peel vegetables. We keep it in our kitchen drawer and look at it suspiciously every time we open it. I might invest in a vegetable peeler that we can't humanize to avoid future disappointment.
