I bought this remote to use with a Hunter 53091 fan and it works perfectly. I installed the remote control receiver at the same time as the ceiling fan, so I don't know how cumbersome (if at all) it is to remove the bottom cover for installation. The wiring is very simple and the instructions are clear. written to install and sync with your fan. The safe exit feature is a good thing, although I doubt I'll ever use it since the room I put it in is small enough that I can get out without tripping or being hit by something. But I made sure the feature worked, with no issues. The dimming function is also good. The only way I could improve is to have separate buttons for dimming and brightness up. Currently this command works like this: you hold down the light button. The light gradually dims until it reaches its lowest point, and then gradually brightens again. This feature is fine, but it would be nice to be able to easily turn the brightness down or up without having to go to the lowest/highest point before moving the other way. It's not very convenient, but not worth deducting a star for. The best thing about them. obviously the convenience of being able to control the fan/light without having to move wherever you are. But he turns one switch into a double switch; This allows you to control the light and fan separately without the need for 2 wall switches. I would have no hesitation in recommending this remote to anyone. And I will definitely be buying one of these for every ceiling fan I add to my home.
