When I first saw the camera and its control layout, I was a little hesitant, but realized the settings would be made once for my truck and then left alone. The settings are a great addition to the others. This allows you to adjust the view to your specific needs by adjusting the inverted guides to the correct width and height, left and right to account for where the camera is mounted, as well as toggle on and off. There's even a feature that tells you when to stop. The camera rotates up and down manually and has a wide-angle lens that's much better than just a direct rear view. Of course, it can be set to stay on all the time or only when the car is reversing. The picture was very bright (adjustable) and clear, and the night vision was amazing (black and white). I recommend this camera. To the monitor. Again, I highly recommend it. Beautiful color image and three button controls for contrast, brightness and color. My truck is a small pickup so signal strength wasn't an issue, but out of curiosity I hooked the monitor up to a 12 volt battery and went for a walk. I was surprised how far I could go before the signal loss happened. This system easily handles any trailer length. What impressed me the most was the ease of installation. Of course, you still need to run some wires to power the system, but not having to run lengths of wire through your car or truck and then through the trailer when you tow is a huge benefit. Highly recommended.
