Review on XO Vision HTC35 HD Universal Weatherproof Rear View Backup Camera with Night Vision, Wide 170° Viewing Angle by Jeff Kern

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for the price

I have previously purchased a Revain "TaoTronics TT-CC01 Universal Waterproof License Plate Backup Camera" along with a "4.3" color TFT monitor with a resolution of 480 x 272. + Car / car reverse mirror display and installed both in my pickup truck. You can read my review of the TaoTronics camera, but I can say here that I wasn't happy with it (I got my money back). After spending all that time wiring my truck and installing a monitor, I started looking for another camera that would be stable at low temperatures. Based on the XO Vision camera reviews, I decided to give it a try. It works great! It turns on every time and sends a great picture to my monitor. There haven't been any of the cold, rain, or snow issues the Midwest has experienced recently, causing the camera to stop working or fog up from moisture. So the statement about "impenetrability" is actually true. I made a bracket out of aluminum and installed a camera under the rear bumper of my truck so I can see the hitch when I return to the boat trailer. The infrared LEDs on this camera allow me to see quite a distance down the street when reversing and even illuminate other houses! It is also more powerful than the TaoTronics camera. The camera comes with adapter rings that allow you to mount the camera at different angles. I didn't use them; He looks straight at me.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Expensive
