The magnet is very weak, that's why I like it so much! Let me explain, I previously ordered a detachable wallet that has a detachable inner sleeve. In theory, this was great until Apple sent me a notification that the magnet was ruining my camera. So I returned THIS and bought THIS case. After that, I really didn't want a strong magnet anymore. The phone does NOT need to be removed from the case to attach the wireless charger. That being said, it takes me some time to find the sweet spot when I put it on my charger. I've read that if you turn off the phone and then restart it resets Qi or something, which is what I did when I first got the case. I will do the same if it causes me any problems in the future. Right now it takes me 10 to 30 seconds to find the right spot. You can always just plug it in, but gosh, I love this wireless charger! With "leather" it is uncertain whether it is genuine leather or leather. Anyway, I LOVE it! It has a semi worn look and feels fantastic. I like that it's not slippery because I tend to drop things (and then kick). Honestly I'm hoping it's leather as the leather cases I've bought in the past have lasted longer than real leather cases (which tend to wear down at the corners). Super cool purchase, I would buy again at any time or recommend it. I like the style of the purse. I feel it protects the screen when I have keys, brushes, pens, etc. in my purse. I'm also glad it doesn't have a snap closure that gets in the way when shooting that day.
