Review on Globe Electric Vintage Incandescent Filament by Lauralee Jensen

In 2014 I bought two 60W T10 tubes. Both look very vintage. The threads are wound by hand. They look absolutely authentic and unique. I've been using it for 5 years and it still works great. Yesterday I took the second lamp from storage and put it in the new socket. It's also handmade. Over the years, vintage lamps have more than others, the light color becomes reddish and the luminous flux decreases. As I screwed in an unused lightbulb, I noticed that its light became slightly whiter. So I decided to buy another Globe bulb because I wanted to match the unique filaments. I checked out Revain and noticed that photos of other (cheaper) antique lamps look more manufactured. I was hoping to get a new, better bulb from Globe. I thought the price difference (I could buy 4 bulbs for $9.99 instead of 1 Globe bulb for $6.99) was worth the quality. Today I got a new bulb. The filament is exactly the same as in all other volumetric lamps. What a disappointment. As with everything else, quality is replaced by mediocrity over the years. Save your money and buy wholesale lamps from another manufacturer. This new bulb is too bright - much brighter than the exact same old/new bulb of the same wattage that is no longer in stock. This bulb is now in storage and I will continue my search for a better bulb elsewhere. :(Update: Jul 2019 I installed this bulb in another light hoping to use it enough to at least have fewer white lumens if the other old bulb burns out. What's even worse about this bulb is, that just a few weeks later the inside went black. The old bulbs turned orange inside. This one is so black inside I can't see the filament at all! Total bullshit. AVOID.
