I bought two of these for cabinets. The defect of the first was that the locking piston got stuck and did not want to close. After requesting a replacement, the replacement worked as advertised. Installation was a little tricky trying to align the locking device with the locating pin. This would be easier with a template to align the two pieces when installing the cabinet. To work around this, 1. Measure the center of the pin to the base of the case. 2. Measure the side of the cabinet door to the bottom of the cabinet. 3. Add the measurements taken in steps 1 and 2. 4. Install the locking device so that the center of the hole is equal to the distance determined in step 3 from the edge of the cabinet door.
