The quality is very good, the instructions are a bit cryptic, but you have to keep this in mind when installing: Ford Edge roof rails are not parallel, ie. The distance between the rails is greater at the front than at the back. There is no need to modify the device to make it work, see my advice. TIP: Loosely assemble/assemble and assemble a crossbar to the back of the rails where it will fit, then gently slide forward into position. Once there, cut it off and tighten everything. Of course, the second bar is installed at the back and placed where you want in the same way. I read a previous review where the person drilled additional holes to change the front stem to make it work. I ran into my process trying to avoid this change and it worked. Happy with the results and the purchase.
