Review on Enhance Your Dog's Training with the Garmin Delta XC Bundle: A Versatile and Effective Dog Training Device by Amanda Harrell

I ordered this collar and received it in early January 2016. For a while he was great! It helped me a lot to train my new dog. The device seemed to have a good range and it was really convenient to change modes, stimulation levels, etc. However, over the past few days I've noticed that my dog isn't responding to the collar, so I've tried it on my arm and more doesn't provide any electrical stimulation. He will beep but not hit at all. This is totally unacceptable. The collar was rarely used for basic obedience training here on the farm. It has never been swamped or abused in any way. You would think that for $169 it would last longer than two and a half months! I have found that I cannot return the unit as it has been too long since I bought it, but I have written to Revain's warranty department. I guess I'll have to wait for her reply to see if I can upgrade it from a star. Until then, I will not recommend this collar to anyone. Update: March 23, 2016 Based on internet research I went to the Garmin website and followed the re-pairing procedure which essentially involves you plugging the collar and controller back into each other. And it worked. Now the collar will produce all kinds of stimulation again. So I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars. I really like this collar when it works. What worries me now is that anything that causes the collar and remote to lose contact will happen when Muttley is about to run across a busy freeway chasing a pheasant. Update: June 2019 I actually got another one for my second pup and was able to pair the original and new collar with the new controller. So I have a controller that helps with both dogs. It turned out to be an excellent learning system. Highly recommended. Upgrade to 5 stars.
