I purchased this car seat cover in July 2018. I've only used it a couple of times as I usually put my dog in the car. This week I washed it in the washing machine on the delicate cycle for the first time. As you can see from my photos, hundreds of pieces of plastic (arranged as small paw prints) on the back of the lid came loose in the washing machine to keep it from sliding. What a mess. In the second photo, the fragments that fell to the floor after removing the lid from the washing machine. My washing machine is about 6 months old and I was afraid the parts would damage the machine. I waited for the drum to dry and vacuumed all visible parts the next day. I've washed my laundry four times since then and I still find small "paw prints" when I pull out clean clothes. Also, I air dried the lid and didn't put it in the dryer. What a mess that would be! I noticed some parts in the car falling off when I took it off after use, even before trying to wash it. I gave this case two stars because it serves its purpose. keeps the car seat clean. That works if you just want to wipe it down, but I want a cover that can be thoroughly machine washed. I would like to return this if possible for a refund.
