Discount 6 foot pounds! Terribly inaccurate coarse dial markings

This torque wrench has the wrong coarse dial setting and will show a 6 foot-pound difference if the person is inexperienced with torque wrenches. This was compared to two snap-on torque wrenches used to secure a lug nut. One had a dial and the other was like this click style Aiourx but with more precision and a more refined feel. The fine adjustment knob scale is technically correct, but does not correspond correctly to the coarse adjustment scale. In one photo it is set at 82 ft.lb and shows the edge of the grip scale at about 76. I had to mark this by adding a notch on the key to remind myself that the coarse scale is off. ! With the setting shown in the photo, the torque wrench clicks at the same setting as my snap-on torque wrenches, which is 82. The ratchet head was also completely lube free and the mechanism was really crispy. I've since added lube to the ratchet and performance has improved significantly. I do not recommend this wrench as the price is very attractive, but the factory coarse scale calibration is too far from the factory calibration and a new user will likely not be able to figure this out, resulting in over-tightening or fastener damage .
