Jaws not parallel, misaligned, waste of money

Fragile, sloppy, misaligned. anything else you need to know? Maybe my accident. But I doubt it. What a disappointment. It is better to take a standard metal digital caliper (inches and mm), print out the conversion table and hang it by your desk. The jaws are misaligned, which isn't the worst, but the surface of the jaws is not flat. (See images.) So if you're measuring something small (like a wire), something that doesn't cover the entire jaw area, you'll get different measurements depending on where in the jaw you place it. the plastic feel of this thing, although I knew it wasn't metal when I bought it, to be honest. Not a big deal, but the packaging is "guaranteed to be full of disappointment". As other people have pointed out, this appears to mean the (sealed) hanging retail packaging. This is not a tool I would rely on and I would advise you to look elsewhere.
