You will most likely damage the paint.
I thought it was a great idea to avoid scratches the right way. The item is beautiful and fits perfectly. However, a white haze remained on the paint. We have tried everything to remove the haze but to no avail. I'm not sure if sand got behind the magnetic armor and scratched the clear coat when it was baked in the sun, but I've always applied the Jeep when it was clean and never left it for more than 24 hours anyway left, and my paint is worn out. For now I think having scratches is better than this problem.
