The switch works well but the LED failed after only a few months with little use. I have used this in a 12v system in my truck to occasionally charge a second battery in the back of the truck for camping use. The switch is used, so I prefer to only charge the extra battery while the truck is running. I check charging on the dash and this light is there to remind me when the switch is on so I don't charge the main battery when the truck isn't running. Also, I should be able to look into the truck's cab in the dark and see that the lights are off = the main battery is not being used. Considering I bought this specifically for the LED function (and a protective cover to prevent bumps and accidental activation when the truck is off) this is a major con for my use.
