mounted transversely;

Didn't work right away. There may be imperfections but that is the reason for the imperfection that I gave this product an A. When I look at it, it appeared to be well made and undamaged. So I pulled out my continuity tester to check the fuse. The fuse is good. Place test leads at each positive end, no continuity will be found. Place a probe on each negative end. Again no successor. I thought about it. The probability that both circuits would fail at the same time was slim. Then it dawned on me. I connected the probes to the negative male end and the positive female end. Enough successor! I switched the sensors to positive on the male end and negative on the female end. Another perfect match. Perfect, except they unknowingly messed that thing up. Just to confirm, I removed the screw and cap on the end of the pin and here it is: a red wire soldered to the spring clips, which are the negative/ground connection, and a black wire soldered to the center positive terminal. Holy cow, how did this happen? Of course, this means that they do absolutely no testing at the end of their assembly line, as there's no way that could pass even the most basic test. All they need is $10 outlets where they plug it in and get a beep or light. It will literally add no more than 5 seconds to the process, assuming this is all done manually. This defect, unlike accidental damage or other human error, is unforgivable. Could blow up expensive electronics
