Ok... I bought CL390, CL900 and then decided on this one. Why so much? Because there are so many and it is not easy to compare them! Each lacks the feature I wanted and the top of the line CL900 lacked the probe holder. It went right back. In addition, the model was massive. So it was the best compromise, not the best gauge. Heck, just make one of everything and I'll buy it. This works well and also tested the capacitor that is important to me. Unlike a rating it will tell you if the circuit is hot with no contact but no sound! For real? I mean why did you exclude this feature from the second top model? Was it that hard to get him to beep? All you get is a little red light. Look, I can use another NCV gadget, but this kind of stuff is annoying. Why am I getting this on the lower models and not the higher models? Anyone reading these reviews will know what I mean. You wonder who's running the show on these switches. So that issue aside, this is a good meter, and it's relatively compact. I bought a couple of extra jaw clamps to go with it. Don't worry about CL900
