Although they say they will fit almost any type of bulb, they are too small for C9 bulbs (the larger type). They can work, but they stretch the clamps beyond what they are capable of and don't hold up well at all. They are useful in an emergency, but not strong enough to hold the lamp base securely. However, the design is great for gutters and the versatility of using it with the swivel head is amazing. They just don't meet the needs of people looking for a slightly more sophisticated look with larger bulbs. Slightly different technique to make it more versatile for all types of lamps and these would be great clips.
