Pictures and description are misleading. 5 x 1 x 4 is actually the size of the pouch these tiny clips come in. Not only do they appear much larger in these images, they are certainly being advertised incorrectly. I struggled to use them and managed to install my Christmas lights but it wasn't easy and some of these clips broke when attaching to the gutter lip. I wouldn't buy these if their size wouldn't fool me and I don't recommend them as there are many other much better and cheaper options.

Although they say they will fit almost any type of bulb, they are too small for C9 bulbs (the larger type). They can work, but they stretch the clamps beyond what they are capable of and don't hold up well at all. They are useful in an emergency, but not strong enough to hold the lamp base securely. I bought these lamp holders from Sorillo Brands along with a couple boxes of Adams light clips (both made in the USA). They look the same out of the box, but once you break off the clip holding the bulb, the difference in quality becomes noticeable.
