It takes strong hands to mount them on aluminum gutters.1. Begin by installing clamp2. Then add a light section. These clips are about the size of a nickel and have a very narrow opening. To attach the clip you must press it very firmly onto the inside edge of the gutter while keeping the clip straight. I was apprehensive at first and thought I'd have to return the brackets, but after two or three tries it became easy to put them in my gutters. I also let them hold the light on my headlights and clapboards (both flashing and clapboards require less effort). If you have weak hands, take a different model. If you like smooth, unobtrusive clamps and strong arms then buy these clips.
