Review on Clarity 53714 Dect 6.0 Amplified Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System - VoIP Phone and Device, White (Model D714) by John Espindola

My search for a phone loud enough for my elderly father has finally come to an end. This phone has enough clear and loud sound to say it's "too loud" which is what I was looking for. I tried the Panasonic KX-TG7872S and KX-TG6591T but they weren't loud enough. The website I found compared different brands and their relative performance in a database. It gave me enough information to give up Panasonic phones after 12 years of use. Functionality is similar, although the base only has a simple numeric display of the number of messages remaining. The base's speaker isn't loud, but you can play messages on the phone, which works great. This phone is perfect for my dad's needs. UPDATE 12/2018 - We have been having issues with the buttons, specifically 1, 2 and the reply button for about 6 months. We have to press hard and hold for it to snap into place. Looks like I'll buy another phone again.
