Not perfect but also toast if not better than toaster I've spent 3x on and with more notoriety, probably premium products (all misleading advertising). Browns a little uneven on both sides but as I said better than many I've tried in the past. Wider American bread will do and is great for bagels. The design is clean and modern and very easy to keep clean - my stainless steel toaster has always had fingerprints so this toaster doesn't look clean anymore. All in all a good buy!
