I'm a programmer and bought it to use in a project to speed up the inventory process. It's perfect, fast and reliable. But don't throw away this guide like I did, you will need it as there are many QR codes to help you set up your scanner the way you want to use it. There are many options and you will likely find one that suits your needs. I've tried it with UPC barcode, USPS labels, QRCode, etc. and it has worked great with all types of barcodes I've scanned.
