The sheets are described as purple. They actually have a brown background with a beautiful bright bohemian print. The cotton fabric is very soft and the sheets are well made. I'm disappointed that they weren't purple but I really love them otherwise. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a luxury sheet set with a funky bohemian print
