I purchased these as we were updating our 40 year kitchen hardware, end which was still serviceable. We wanted to go with a polished brass and these hinges looked like what we wanted.When they arrived they appear to be more of a painted gold look, not polished or brushed brass, but that will do.Also they are not a perfect fit for the original offset style of hinges used here for so many years. The two style screw holes line up and one of the three leaf screws line up. but the other two will require relocating. If they were going to copy an old hinge design then why not copy it exactly?What I find more disappointing is these hinges are not all metal like our original offset hinges. These have a plastic insert that presses on the hinge pin providing the self-closing feature. I believe this insert is a weak link and is doomed to fail with any kind of use.Since I have them and they are cheap in comparison to a quality hinge I will see how long they last, but if I had know about these issues I would have looked elsewhere.
