Review on T Fal Nonstick Cookware Thermo Spot Indicator by Noah Smith

Firstly, I did NOT receive it for free, so this review was not affected by wanting to keep getting free stuff. Second, I bought the pan almost five years ago, so it's nothing like all those "just arrived" product reviews. Now here's what most of you want to know. How durable is the non-stick surface? First, remember that ALL non-stick surfaces will degrade over time, whether it's Teflon or ceramic. DO NOT believe in "limited lifetime warranties" that mean they will keep their non-stick surfaces indefinitely. If you read the fine print, you'll need to return them postage paid to the manufacturer for an 'evaluation'. What the manufacturers don't tell you is that with cheaper pans like this, it's often more expensive to get them back under warranty than to buy a brand new one! When I tried to complain to the company about this fraudulent practice, I was promised a manager's call back within two business days, which never happened. So the customer service is superficial. Then again, this pan has been fairly nonstick for over four years, which is way better than most, including all those lovely ceramic pans. So you're unlikely to get better durability no matter how much you spend, and this T-Fal is relatively cheap. I would have given 4.5 to 5 stars if it wasn't for the misleading warranty and poor customer service.
